Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-30 ยท Last updated 30 October 2026
These terms apply when you use the Swift Rider passenger app, the Swift Driver app or our website. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy.
1. What Swift Rider is
Swift Rider is a platform that connects passengers with independent drivers in and around Windhoek. Drivers are not employees of Swift Rider. The ride itself is a service between the driver and the passenger, and Swift Rider provides the app, matching, pricing and payment tools.
2. Accounts
- You must be an adult and give accurate information. You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code.
- Keep your phone and codes private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- You can have one account per role and phone number. We may refuse or suspend accounts that break these terms.
3. Booking, fares and payment
- The app shows a fare estimate before you book. The final fare can change with the actual distance, time, waiting time, and any surge or time-of-day pricing shown in the app.
- Cancellation and waiting fees can apply when a ride is cancelled or a driver waits after the free period shown in the app.
- Payments are processed by our payment provider. Wallet balances and payment status appear in the app and can take a short time to confirm.
- If you think a charge is wrong, contact support with the ride date and time.
4. Passenger responsibilities
- Be at the pickup point, treat drivers with respect, wear a seatbelt and do not damage the vehicle.
- Do not use the service for anything illegal or to harass anyone.
5. Driver responsibilities
- Hold the licences, permits, insurance and vehicle roadworthiness that the law requires, and submit true documents for verification.
- Drive safely and lawfully, follow the route and treat passengers with respect.
- Swift Rider takes a commission on fares, as shown in the Driver app. Withdrawals are subject to the minimum and checks shown in the app.
- We may suspend or remove a driver for low ratings, unsafe behaviour, false documents or breaches of these terms.
6. Safety
Swift Rider is not an emergency service. If you are in danger, contact local emergency services first. Trip sharing sends a private tracking link to a person you choose and does not alert emergency services or your contacts automatically.
7. Acceptable use
You may not copy, reverse engineer or interfere with the apps, use another person's account, create fake trips or ratings, or misuse promotions or wallet credit.
8. Our responsibility
We work to keep the apps available and accurate, but we do not promise they will be uninterrupted or error free. To the extent the law allows, Swift Rider is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the acts of drivers and passengers. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.
9. Ending your account
You can stop using the service at any time and request deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Clauses that by their nature continue, such as payment of money owed, continue after closure.
10. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we update the version above and ask you to accept it in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of Namibia. Contact: support@swift-rider.com.co.
